– Another exercise for bedtime is meditation. Before you go to bed try to take as little as 10 minutes where you sit quietly and relax, completely letting the everyday worries go and just focus on your breathing.

– When you visualize yourself in a place that gives you peace and makes you feel happy, this can really relax you. Close your eyes and picture yourself in this peaceful surroundings. This can take your mind of your everyday worries and relax you.

– There are some essential oils which contain sedative qualities which make you sleepy. One of these is lavender. Try to take a bath with lavender oil before you go to bed or sprinkle a drop or two on your pillow.

These techniques have proven themselves and are certainly worth a try, before you start getting health issues or pop some sleeping pills. If these techniques don’t work for you, ask your friends and family for tips, there are a lot of remedies out there. It is just finding the right one for you.
